Ron, what to do is start an investigation.  I fashioned the CVRTC by laws
after some of the basis of the NARCOA by-laws.  There is a clause about bad
behavior of this type.

ARTICLE 11. MEMBERSHIP
SECTION 5. TERMINATION OF MEMBERSHIP
(a)  Grounds for Termination. The membership of a member shall terminate
upon the occurrence of any of the following events:
 
        (2)  Upon a determination by the Board of Directors that the member
has engaged in conduct materially and seriously prejudicial to the
interests or purposes of the Association.

SECTION 10. RIGHTS ON TERMINATION OF MEMBERSHIP
All rights of a member in the Association shall cease on termination of
membership as herein  provided.

There is also a clause to the members rights to be given a chance to speak
his/her account of the events.  A Witch hunt and a lynching are
unacceptable.  We must all act responsibly in every discharge of our
duties.  This goes for the general membership as well as its officers.  

For those of you out there that have thought of becoming more active in
this hobby or any other organization  consider this.  There are a lot of
ups to holding a an office but, you must always be prepared to give of
yourself without reservation to the serious and sometimes unpleasant task
that come with the job. This is something I have observed in my terms
heading up various organizations.  I'm not trying to scare folks away from
becoming active in the organizational management of this hobby.  Just
letting you know that there are some issues that can chalange you and your
beliefs of what is right and wrong.
