Subject: Brake Lights

Gentlemen,
I initially was not in favor of brake lights; being somewhat of a
purist, but have come around to realize that they truely are needed
given the way most runs operate. I'll be adding one to my car.
One of the most difficult and scarey experiences that I had on a run was
following someone who had no rear lights at all (not even marker
lights). The run ran long, and it was well past dark before we
finished. For the last hour+ I sat on the edge of my seat to make sure
I wasn't going to rear end that guy.
Personally, I don't mind if the lights flash, as long as they only do so
only when the brakes are applied. Lights that flash all the time can be
rather annoying & one begins to mentally block them out. I think that
the minimum requirement should be for just one light mounted in the
middle similar to late model autos.
Respectfully,
Roger Dickinson
