Re: Weight
M-19 stock weighs 625 lbs
Figure that the Onan and tranny weigh a hundred pounds more than the RO-C,
so go conservatively 725 lbs. The capacity is 750 lbs.
That must include cab, turntable, seats, operator, gas, and other options if
so equipped.
That is 1475 lbs.
I know the dry weight of a UP RR MT-19B is 1330 lbs. That is equipped with
turntable, full cab, seats, heater and other smaller options. The dry
weight of a Tomah cab MT-19A is 1170 lbs. That only includes the full cab ,
one seat and heater only.
M-14 stock weighs 835 lbs. Figure the 100 lbs extra for motor exchange-935
lbs. The capacity is 1200 lbs so total is 2135 lbs. The Tomah cab MT-14 is
1450 lbs, cab and heater only. I do not know what the weight of the UP RR
MT-14M car is with the turntable. I would add 160 lbs for the turntable, as
that is the approximate difference between the MT-19 cars, one with and one
without the table. Try 1610 lbs.
If anyone has more specific answers, pleaste post them on this forum.
