Thanks, Permatex(Loctite) also makes a tool handle dip.

I found a co call Stock Caps.  They make cap plugs and all sorts of
protective covers for pipe, thread protectors and handle grips.  I will be
requesting some "samples" to evaluate.  They come in colors also.

With my handles installed on the car, the liquid stuff is "no go".
