It might be beneficial to organize the motor car operators to start a
letter writing campaign to the state legislater.  In Indiana of our state
boiler inspection agency decided that it had authority to regulate
portable boilers, i e steam locomotives and agricultural engines.  The
railway museums and the steam tractor fans flooded their state
representatives with letters.  At the next session each legislator had
received at least one letter and many received several letters opposing
the new law.  It got their attention.  It was defeated.  If it had not
been for the letter campaign the law would probably have sailed through
unopposed due to lack of interest.  Wisconsin, get organized, write
letters, and do all you can to preserve your rides.
