Dick Ray: While shaving the head may increase compression and therefore horse power, it in no way enables or has any direct effect on RPM. Where do we get this 2X the RPM stuff. It also as stated shortens the life of the engine. It does allow more of a load to be handled, via the increased horse power. It is generally not a way to get a long service life out of an engine.
