Alternator

Scott,
Thanks for the tip.  I also received one form James Shanks about using a
beetle alternator. Unfortunately his e-mail address was returned to me
as undeliverable.
Don had a heck of a good idea in just tossing it " as far as you can".
I stopped by Holly Generator in Sacramento yesterday and they looked
into it ( I broke the diode in half when I reinstalled the wiring)
Holly called me back last night  they can have the diode
replaced for $30.00.  I will probably go down and have it done Monday
and also check out the aMC, VW and Delcotron ones at the same time.
Thanks to all who answered this request for help.  It was really
appreciated.
