Re: [speeders] Cadillac Verus Train, official Responce



Thank you for sharing that response.  I never got a response from them.   I
did, however, get a letter from Gerri Hall, President of Operation
Lifesaver, Inc.  She included a copy of the letter she sent to John F.
Smith, Chairman of General Motors Corp. on March 26th of this year.
Operation Lifesaver has been trying to get this ad pulled since March.
Gerri states in her letter to me that "they [Cadillac] do not believe there
is anything unsafe about the ad (since both trains are stopped), and they
need to appeal to different audiences.  Therefore, they say they will not
pull the commercial."

I'm beginning to wonder (as Gerri Hall mentioned in her letter to me) if the
Cadillac Division of GM isn't just loving this added interest -- trying to
get the ad pulled.  Unfortunately, it may get a few (or many) people killed
at highway-rail grade crossings.
