Here is what Cadillac said about this ad.
Dear Mr. Stroebe,
Thank you for contacting the Cadillac Customer Assistance Center.
We are sorry for any miscommunication regarding the new Cadillac Escalade
advertisement showing the two trains.
This advertisement does not depict the Escalade racing to beat the trains to
the crossing. What is meant to be portrayed by this advertisement, is the
trains waiting in awe of the Escalade and giving the right of way to the
vehicle, out of respect.
We apologize if our ad missed the mark with you. We do a number of different
advertising themes, because obviously one ad cannot effectively encompass our
entire customer base. It is never our intention to offend any of our current
or potential customers and if we have done so in your case, please accept our
apologies. We do appreciate your feedback and will forward your comments to
our Marketing and Advertising Departments for their review and consideration
in the planning of future advertisements
If you should need to contact us in the future, please e-mail us again or
call our Cadillac Customer Assistance Center at 1-800-458-8006. Customer
Relationship Managers are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Please
refer to file, 1-46405336.
Sincerely,
Krista Gaston
