RE: [Fwd: [speeders] Model "T" coil]
Mike and All,
On the side lugs I use 10-32 x 1/2" flat head BRASS machine screws. On the
Battery, bottom lug, I solder on a piece of
10-32 brass all thread rod to bring the connection out to the same face as
the other 2 connections. I then take a wooden block, the same size as the
bottom of the coil, and cut a groove in it to accommodate the rod. I then
use some silicone adhesive to adhere the block to the bottom to the coil.
The block both insulates the battery "rod" and it provides a flat base for
the coil to sit on.

<< Message: RE: [speeders] Model "T" coil (5.09 KB) >> I've got a couple
of, I think, Ford coils (wooden buzz boxes). So if I
have it right, I solder something on the "lugs" to attach the wires and
use, say a six volt battery to run a 2-stroke?
Thanks again,
